Water pillows are small refillable humidifiers ideal for helping regulate humidity in your humidor. Drop one in a bag and you have an instant travel humidor as well. Small, economical, and effective, once you have them you will wonder how you ever lived without them.

The Humi-Care water pillow consists of a plastic bag and “water pillow” made of gel/sponge material. Because the sponge material is subjected to moisture, one would assume that over time the material would degrade. Humi-Care does however, recommend that users submerge the water pillow in distilled water rather than tap to prevent mold.
Usability (10)
The design of the Humi-Care Water Pillow is certainly to the least common denominator (no offense – you know who you are). There are two parts to this product, the outside bag and the water pillow inside the bag. Users only need to provide the recommended distilled water or tap water and submerge that bags for a minimum of 20 seconds. The great thing about these are that they can be re-charged and re-used as long as they will last.

The Humi-Care pillows we received were included gratis (thanks Cigar.com) from our friends over at CCOM and our experience their has been more than acceptable to say the least. While we are not reviewing CCOM’s customer service, we do understand that if we had a problem with the Humi-Care Water Pillows, CCOM would have taken care of us.
Price (8)
At $14.95 for a 10 pack of water pillows, we feel that this is a fair price with more than fair value depending on how much temporary humidification you require. I find that 10 is more than enough and these will last what seems to be years – all for $15.
Overall Experience (8.25)
Overall, I like the Humi-Care pillows as they are extremely convenient and offer 67% humidity to up to 20 cigars. The value and usability were key factors for me as the price gets you humidification for up to 200 cigars for only $15. These were easy to use and seem like they will last a long time – we definitely give the green light on these.
